As an avid astronomy fan, I am going to explore the major questions of the cosmos, I want to share what I have learned along the way. There will be plenty of night sky photography and illustrations to go along with the questioning, join me on some fun posts if you are a fan of the night sky.
My love for space and all things astro really spawned from the basic question kids are asked when they are younger, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I was never the nerd I wanted to be as I have always struggled with math and math concepts. However,
as I get older, I have more and more questions about the creation of the universe, and as I grow hungrier for answers, I grow hungrier to fill my plate up with studying the math needed to help me study things far away.
If you know me, or think you know me, let me share a secret...I applied to become an astronaut knowing I would not be selected. They were looking for the elite school driven phd fighter pilot, which to be fair may be necessary qualifications for flying VERY expensive rockets. However, I loved every minute of imagining myself going to space. I want to see things from a different perspective, I want to imagine what is beyond Earth and our galaxy.
I realized that I may not need to fly to the ISS to imagine these things. I can in fact study the possibilities here on Earth, with my humble low light camera and a somewhat dense light polluted sky. If I just learn and use the right tools, then I am essentially traveling to space, and that for me is enough, and way less expensive.
If you finished reading my ramble, I look forward to sharing what I learn and for you to come explore the universe with me!
